The Neues Museum in Berlin is a masterpiece of the art, museum and technology history of the 19th century and was built between 1843 and 1855. It was designed by Friedrich August Stülers. During World War II, the building was severely damaged and finally restored between 2003 and 2009. The museum combines geographically and thematically related exhibits from three collections: the Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung, the Museum für Vor- und Frühgeschichte and the Antikensammlung.
